The Hultafors Safety Knife is exactly what it says it is, a knife designed with a dull point, developed and adapted to minimise sticking injuries.
 
It has the same robust construction and materials as the Craftsmans Knife but with a rounded tip to avoid puncture cuts with less experienced users.
 
The knife blade is manufactured from Japanese knife steel, 2.5 mm carbon steel that has been hardened to 58-60 HRC. The handle and sheath are made from extra durable PP plastic, the handle is bright yellow making it easy to see when placed on the woodland floor.
 
The sheath has a belt loop as well as a button attachment and a large thumb lever to assist the easy removal of the knife from the sheath.
 
Blade length 8.5cm
Total length 25cm
 
Advantages: Blade does not have a sharp point so reduces the risk of stick injuries. Has a Carbon steel blade so it is easier to sharpen than stainless steel blade. Bright yellow handle so easy to see on the woodland floor.
 
Disadvantages: Will not hold its edge as long as a stainless steel blade so you will need to keep your sharpening stone handy.
